As part of La Track | The Track project, four Montreal artists and two art collectives will be at Pigment Sauvage for in situ and off-site residencies, culminating in two group exhibitions at the Institute of Contemporary Art Baltimore in November 2019 and at Galerie B-312 in February 2020.

As part of Conversations Montréal | Lyon, Caroline Saves and Benoît Vidal propose a suspended choreography in which their performative and sculptural actions intersect and converse to question sign language through the memory of their moving bodies.

Jonathan Villeneuve creates poetic machines by assembling familiar materials from which he most often preserves the original appearance. His work moves, emit light and produce sound, letting the visitor presume their imaginary function.

Camila Vasquez exhibitionquestions the notion of distance, as much in its proper sense as figuratively. Between the other and the intimacy, between performance and documentation, the mockup and the final object, the experience and the memory, gaps widen.

...AU LIEU...

Angèle Verret paints some of her paintings by letting the fluidity of the pigment-laden binder interact with the slightest variations in the surface of a prepared canvas placed horizontally. This operation is repeated until the artist finds the result disturbing enough to address it to us.
