His work has been exhibited at home alonE, preceded by a month of isolation in a mountain refuge. He also participated in a group exhibition at ESACM, the result of a collaboration with the children of a kindergarten located in Clermont-Ferrand.
During the holiday season, Galerie B-312 is pleased to offer its space to two artists from Lyon, Caroline Saves and Benoît Vidal, in the context of the project Conversations Montréal | Lyon. Covering an area of 2 000 square feet, the gallery can be invested in different ways. Above all, it is about giving the opportunity to artists to work on site, turning the gallery space into an artist studio. This will result in an exhibition at Galerie B-312, taking place from January 17 to March 2, 2019.
Conversations Montréal | Lyon was initiated by curators Marthe Carrier and Chloé Grondeau and spearheaded by Galerie B-312 in Montréal. It has since become an avenue of exchange between Lyon and Montréal, with a particular emphasis on showcasing the local art scene in each city. Conversations Montréal | Lyon presents a plurality of events and media in order to give artists at different stages of their career a chance to show their work internationally. This transatlantic collaboration has had two iterations. In the spring of 2018, Marthe Carrier and Chloé Grondeau developed a curatorial proposal presenting the work of eight artists based in Montréal. Five diffusion spaces hosted individual and group exhibitions to highlight the work of artists residing across the Atlantic: Bikini, La BF15, Galerie Tator, Factatory and Néon, with the complicity of Moly Sabata, an artist residency centre. In January 2019, these diffusers present the work of five artists from Lyon in Montréal at following centres: La Vitrine, ateliers Daigneault | Schofield, Diagonale, Arprim, centre d'essai en arts imprimé and Galerie B-312.
Conversations. Montréal | Lyon was made possible by the generous support of: Canada Council for the Arts, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, Conseil des arts de Montréal, ministère des Relations internationales et Francophonie du Québec / Fonds Émérillon de coopération franco-québécoise and Institut français / Ville de Lyon.
