Thursday novembre 16 —JORDI
ROSENJordi Rosen makes music with the spirit of a good listener who absorbs the life stories of others.—Melodies, whisperings, stories to lift the spirit.—Born in Toronto, Jordi Rosen settled in Montreal fifteen years ago to pursue a career as an author-composer-performer-accordionist-pianist-reader of tea leaves.—Her eclectic choice of instruments and her Polish-Jewish-Ojibwe origins have led her to explore the broad boulevards of pop music, the earthy pathways of folk and many diverse musical trails in between.—She has collaborated with Rufus Wainwright, Godspeed You ! Black Emperor, Antony and the Johnsons and many more.—On this occasion she will be performing with her casio, her voice and her accordion. She will be joined by Patrick Meunier on traditional native drum and Gordon Hashimoto on the guitar.—With her mind in the stars that she has studied so well, she will tell us stories of waking dreams, of cowboys in the mountains and of lost loves.—Her only wish is that the music serve us as a warm embrace.
