For the second year in a row, Galerie B-312 is pleased to announce the vue d’ateliers—points de vue d’artistes event, which will run from February 1 to June 20, 2012. - Ten artists have been invited to talk about their artistic approaches in the context of their studios. Serge Murphy lives and works in Montreal. He creates sculptures that unfold in space, as well as drawings and narrative videos that have been presented in Québec, Canada and abroad. In 2007, he won the Ozias-Leduc Prize of the Émile-Nelligan Foundation for his visual work. He has been a critic and curator on a number of occasions over the last 30 years. He published a collection of poems, Everyday life is eternal in France in 2010. His last solo exhibition, was held at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts in the summer and fall of 2011. He will be the curator of the thirtieth edition of Symposium international d’art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul in summer 2012. sergemurphy.com
