Organized in 1994 by Julie Turcotte, the Échangees Exhibition presented in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Chicoutimi was intended to be a place for young artists and art historians to meet and exchange ideas.

SITE / UNSEEN

Under the title Site/Unseen, the works of the 9 artists selected by Artcite question, each in their own way, the notion of identity. Concerned by the geographic location of Windsor, the artists' practices are part of an incessant redefinition of the meaning of space and place.

REQUIEM POUR UNE CONDITION INHUMAINE

With a touch of humour and irony, the artist Luc de Vette approaches the subjects of painting. Drawing from the records of daily life, the artist appropriates familiar, everyday, even banal objects and reinvests a reflexive power.

ANALYSE D'UNE TRANSMUTATION

Robert Dufour has been a painter for several years. He has been very interested in traditional subjects such as landscape, still life and portraiture. This led him to begin a reflection on the social values of these pictorial genres.

Tu ne fuiras pas is the title of a series of theatrical installations directed by Pierre Desrosiers and presented in Moncton, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and Saint-Hyacinthe.

Selected and organized by the Galerie Sans Nom Co-op Itée of Moncton, this travelling exhibition composed of twelve New Brunswick artists, will be presented in several regions of Canada.

This exhibition proposes a dialogue and a deployment of space between literature and plastic arts. The book is interpreted to us - as we say of a musical piece - it becomes a productive object, a matrix.
