Six peintres

DEUX ÉCOLES, TROIS LIEUX, UNE RENCONTRE

They are six. All in their twenties and thirties. They studied arts at Concordia University and UQAM. They chose painting. The exhibition Six peintres, deux écoles, trois lieux, une rencontre, presented in 2014 at Galerie B-312 and in two other Montréal art centres.

Res Ipsa Loquitur exhibition allows to see the collection of silkscreens of Corridart. Pour la liberté d’expression (1982) created by Graff to finance the appeal filed following the defeat of the lawsuit initiated by Corridart artists against the City of Montréal.

Rétrospective Pierre Ayot

La Croix du Mont Royal

The work created by Pierre Ayot and Denis Forcier for Corridar will be reassembled. It's a legendary work, unfortunately dismanted too quickly in July 1976. We wiil recreate a replica of this work at the foot of Mount Royal.

For this occasion, Mathieu Cardin tranformed the space of Galerie B-312. The architecture of the installation, among other things, its counter and its illuminated sign, immerses the visitor into a commercial context where everything has been contemplated to highlight the objects for sale.

Sound artist Martine H. Crispo offers us a piece created from scratch with six very portable computers, one from 1986, one from 1987, two from 1992, one from 1996 and one from 2005. As for Chantale Laplante she offers us an improvisation made of a long fade-chained veiled sounds in a piano register.
