EVERY THING BEING (EQUAL)

An installation consisting of paintings of objects faithfully rendered from photographs. Presented as three distinct modules, each module deals in its own way with questions of identity and the formation of meaning. Some paintings stand alone; some paintings stand alone; some form small groups or pairs, whose members exert mutual influence. Two modules incorporate shelves; hinting in one case at the idea of a collection, in the other appearing in the guise of reliquaries. The third module consists of larger works, the subjects of which against their objectification within the confines of the series in which they find themselves.
