For the second year in a row, Galerie B-312 is pleased to announce the vue d’ateliers—points de vue d’artistes event, which will run from February 1 to June 20, 2012. - Ten artists have been invited to talk about their artistic approaches in the context of their studios. Experience the pulse of their practice. Understand the artist's relationship with their creative process, with their work and production context. Question concretely "how is this done? ". A chance to form questions but also discussions. Creating a space for informal exchanges: this series of studio visits is open to all.
Places are limited and vary from one visit to another. Registrations will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The approximate duration of each meeting is one hour and thirty minutes.
Cost of the visit: $ 10. For a reservation: it is necessary to confirm your presence at Gallery B-312.

François Lacasse has been painting for twenty years. After an exhibition covering the period 1992-2002 presented at the musée d’art contemporain de Montréal Musée d'art de Joliette devoted a retrospective exhibition to him in 2009. This exhibition was subsequently circulated for presentation. at the Mount Saint Vincent University Art Gallery (Halifax), at the Agnes Etherington Art CentRE at Queen's University (Kingston), and terminated at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery of the Alberta College of Art and Design (Calgary). The artist’s works can be found in the permanent collections of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and the National Gallery of Canada. Since 2001, François Lacasse has been a professor at the School of Visual and Media Arts at UQAM. He is represented by Galerie René Blouin.
