OPENING ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14 AT 5:30 PM
Combining sculpture, installation, video and performance, Guillaume Boudrias-Plouffe explores the interaction between memory and culture, the transformation and transmission of traditions. His exhibition Pas de chicane dans ma cabane ! divides the gallery's main space into several stations where memories and expressions in relation to his grandparents are displayed through pictures, objects and video sequences. Inseparable from his family's personal experience, the works reveal at the same time their belonging to a global cultural heritage and shared by a wider community, hence the impression of familiarity and distance that emerge from them.
