Through installation and performance, Manuela Lalic seeks a tension between what is individual and what is collective. To point out a society that is prefabricating our needs and desires, she performs on constructs stagings who question our mass movements while indicating her ecological concerns.
Manuela Lalic has shown her work in many solo and group exhibitions (Québec, Canada, France, Germany, England, Belgium, Japan, China, Serbia and Lebanon). In 2009, she received the Pratt and Whitney Award (Art/Nature) and the Canada Council for the Arts residency at the International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York.
