Creating a space for informal exchanges: this series of studio visits is open to all.
Places are limited and vary from one visit to another. Registrations will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The approximate duration of each meeting is one hour and thirty minutes.
Cost of the visit: $ 10 For a reservation: it is necessary to confirm your presence at Gallery B-312.

In recent years, Marie-Claire Blais’s practice has focused her creative activity mainly on drawing, in conjunction with her practice of architecture and landscape. She is interested in a process of creation that engages the body, space and time and causes the action to update the conceptual premises of the work. She invites the unknown and celebrates immateriality through a production that combines the propensity of air and solid matter. This approach allows her to pervert the notion of limit between elements, social certainties, the concept of power, to replace it with the hope of openness. Each project is a privileged opportunity to question the relationship of man to his environment, revisiting cultural patterns of space appropriation and directing the gaze. Marie-Claire Blais has presented several solo exhibitions at the René Blouin Gallery, including L'hiver vient de l’ouest (2009) and Densité neutre(2010). Her work has also been presented at the Jessica Bradley Art + Projects gallery (Toronto) for the exhibition In Line (2005) and Silence (2007). Her works are part of the Prêt d’œuvres d’art du Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and several private collections in Canada. She is represented by Galerie René Blouin.
