To discover your own way of creating and doing. To interact with an artist in their studio. To visit exhibitions and demystify creation. A privileged access to art. An incredible chance to appreciate and be inspired by art!

The Artist: Patrick Lapierre
His Medium: Animation

Filmmaker Patrick Lapierre invites participants to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of moving images and shapes. During the workshops, the group will be introduced to the steps involved in the production of a short animated film. The theme chosen could evoke a moment, a memory or a familiar impression. The participants will have the chance to explore, individually and as a group, the range of possibilities offered by the medium. Through the exploration of different techniques combining various materials, and by addressing the notions of sequence, retinal persistence, stop motion, narration and even abstraction, the participants will benefit from an exceptional opportunity to learn what goes on "behind the scenes" of an animation, a discipline that extends far beyond children’s film!
