Here is an opportunity to see Pierre Ayot’s legendary work, La croix du mont Royal, during its last days. Created in 1976 for the Corridart event and destroyed almost immediately by the Mayor Jean Drapeau’s order, similar to all the works displayed on Sherbrooke Street for the 1976 Olympic Games, this piece was recreated in 2016 as part of a major retrospective of Pierre Ayot. Forty years later, it is still a conversation piece. Such are works that stand the test of time. Find out how and why.

This recreation of Pierre Ayot's work was made possible thanks to the support of the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, Ville de Montréal, Conseil des arts de Montréal, Caisse populaire Desjardins du Plateau-Mont-Royal and all the individuals who generously made a donation through the social fundraising campaign. Thank you all.
