The works created by Soufïa Bensaïd are the fruit of an interdisciplinary artistic practice, and are relational, performative and visual. They invite us to enter into sincere and simple relationships with ourselves, with others, with what is present. The material is drawn from everyday life, and through installations and shared, attentive experiences, offers a space for encounter and reflection on notions of identity, transmission and perception.

In partnership with Tour de Bras, Galerie B-312 is pleased to host the Baie Vitrée event, a sporadic series of improvised music and sound art programmed by musicians Philippe Lauzier and Éric Normand.

In her new exhibition, Marie-Eve Beaulieu revisits 15 years of her career by recovering old paintings and sketches, from which she cuts the canvas into tiny squares, which she then weaves. The initial questioning of Et si on recommençait ? (What if we started again?) is ethical and questions the gestures of the artist who collects materials and produces works that accumulate over the years.

The exhibition Servez à ce monsieur une bière et des kiwis, that its aim is to give the impression that the works are dancing, sipping a drink or welcoming guests, uses the theme of a festive event.

Starting from a series of images that expose plant market lush kiosks in the Viveros de Coyoacán in Mexico City, Catherine Bodmer continues her research around the garden theme as a manifestation of the quest for an ideal world, a utopia.

Engaged in a photographic practice for a dozen years, Catherine Bodmer starts from a documentary approach of photography to address the chosen places as variable arrangements through an often repetitive and performative approach. 

Hosted by Monique Régimbald-Zeiber, this panel is an opportunity to think the symbolism of wandering and discovering in a creation context. Starting from their respective residences, the artists of La Track | The Track will comment on their experiences.

Gabrielle Lajoie-Bergeron is the curator of La Track | The Track a project with exhibitions, residences and conferences in which artists from Montreal and Baltimore reflect on uprooting, disorientation and encounter concepts.

As part of Montréal ~ Habana : Rencontres en art actuel, Galerie B-312 is very pleased to present the works of Adam Basanta and Renée Lavaillante in a group exhibition hosted at the Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visueales in Havana.

The trompe-l’œil is nested in the time of emergence, the time where the surprise effect leads us to poetic contemplation. It is part of a bitter-sweet seduction strategy motivated by a double game of illusion and disillusionment, truth and falsehood. The exhibition Dans l’intimité du leurre presents installational, sculptural and pictorial works that play with the thresholds of sensory perception and outsmarts the senses. 

As part of La Track | The Track project, five American artists from Baltimore will be at Galerie B-312 for in situ and off-site residencies, culminating in two group exhibitions at the Institute of Contemporary Art Baltimore in November 2019 and at Galerie B-312 in February 2020.

In collaboration with Programme ICI - Intervenants culturels internationaux Ilán Lieberman and Omar Barquet hold a conference reflecting on contemporary printmaking practices and problematics in Mexico.
