—OPENING ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 07 AT 9 PM

The exhibition Tres Tiempos by Mexican artist Gustavo Artigas is part of the 10th edition of Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal developed around the theme "Replaying Narrative" and organized by the curator Marie Fraser. Tres Tiempos consists of three photographic sequences and a video showing in three stages a brutal collision between a motorist and a pedestrian. On the one hand, the photographs capture the movements of the pedestrian who is propelled into the air, on the other hand, cameras capture the same action from inside the vehicle. Meticulously calculated, the staging remains striking, leading us to reflect on mortality and the circumstances surrounding it.
