In the fall of 1991, Johanne Gagnon laid the foundations of a concrete construction consisting of four sections on a reduced scale. This model was built in an exterior space, poured on the ground in order to highlight the relationship between the earth's layer and depth, and to emphasize the realism of the project. These concrete sections, as well as the site covering fabric delimiting the space, participate as witness elements whose value lies in the fact that they provide information about the site of intervention. A posteriori, they become the objects of a reflection that a graphic approach of the space it explores concretizes. Each of the stages of the realization were also photographed to ensure the continuity of the project. It is through the photographic material accumulated during the course of the project that the drawing process asserts itself, a discipline that predominates at the centre of this work.
