FRÉDÉRIC LAVOIE

L'angle mort
Exhibition

Frédéric Lavoie's installation is a box measuring approximately one and a half metres by one metre, illuminated from the inside, radiates a few centimetres from the wall. A video is projected on the only opaque side of this strange object. Lonely people, sitting behind a wooden table, are filmed waiting.

Gennaro De Pasquale's Currently Active Camera is a collection of relatively short videos interspersed with countdowns that are reminiscent of movie starters. All the videos are a succession of still images that the artist captured on webcam sites.

Angèle Verret paints some of her paintings by letting the fluidity of the pigment-laden binder interact with the slightest variations in the surface of a prepared canvas placed horizontally. This operation is repeated until the artist finds the result disturbing enough to address it to us.
